Shanghai China was the location for New England Journal of Medicine’s most recent webcast. ICV has traveled not only across the country, but around the world for NEJM streaming a series of events for multiple departments within this global health care organization.
ICV has worked with NEJM for many years and has developed a technology process that is carefully coordinated with NEJM’s network, marketing and event planning processes and requirements.
Streamlining the technology of webcasting for NEJM is ICV’s live streaming portal – our Media Portal web application. Critical to NEJM is maintaining the 100’s of previously live streamed sessions that ICV has already produced and making those easily accessible. ICV’s agenda based Media Portal allows visitors to quickly search, shoose and stream on-demand any previous event. If an event is live, the NEJM portal reflects that on the home page. ICV’s APIs allow NEJM registration to intelligently crate access for users seamlessly and securely. Even adding multiple languages for the webcast was not a problem using our Media Portal.
Deploying and streaming live from within a strictly managed internet network has its challenges. However ICV has streamed live from China before so the requirements for a successful live webcast are already baked in to the Media Portal.
NEJM enjoyed a wide ranging global audience for this important event. ICV appreciates being trusted by NEJM for such a critical project.
